research interests
initiating device and pyrotechnics: new types of initiating materials, pyrotechnic composition and components.
combustion and detonation: theoretical, simulation and experimental study on detonation and ignition process.
safety science and technology: safety theory and protection
new functional materials: adsorption material, catalytic material and etc.
academic achievements
since 1990, he has directed the doctoral research of 91 graduate students, and master research of 46 graduate students. and he has directed 11 researchers out of post-doctoral stations.
he has published nine monographs, two of which were awarded first prize of the fifth national excellent science and technology book of china, and the second prize of the sixth china book award, respectively.
he is responsible professor of safety science and technology of beijing institute of technology.
